Kuwait Announces Eid Al-Fitr Holiday Schedule

Kuwait City, March 14, 2025 – The Kuwaiti Cabinet has announced the official Eid Al-Fitr holidays, with the duration depending on the moon sighting. The holiday will range between three to five days, as reported by the state-run Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
According to the cabinet’s decision:
If Eid Al-Fitr falls on Sunday, March 30, work will be suspended for three days until Tuesday, April 1, with work resuming on Wednesday, April 2.
If Eid Al-Fitr falls on Monday, March 31, work will be suspended for five days, from Sunday, March 30, until Thursday, April 3, with work resuming on Sunday, April 6.
The announcement applies to all ministries, governmental bodies, and public institutions, while state agencies with special operational needs will determine their own holiday schedules based on public interest.
This flexible holiday period allows citizens and residents to celebrate Eid Al-Fitr with their families and loved ones, marking the end of Ramadan 1446 AH.
