King Salman Receives Invitation from Iraqi President to Attend Upcoming Arab League and Economic Summits

Riyadh, May 5, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received an official invitation on Sunday from the President of the Republic of Iraq, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, to attend two high-level summits to be hosted by Iraq later this month.

The invitation includes participation in the 34th Ordinary Session of the Council of the Arab League at the Summit Level, as well as the 5th Session of the Arab Economic and Social Development Summit.

The invitation was delivered to Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah during a meeting in Riyadh with Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Fuad Hussein, held at the headquarters of the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the deep-rooted fraternal relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Iraq. They also discussed regional and international developments and shared perspectives on ongoing efforts to support peace, security, and cooperation across the Arab world.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister for Political Affairs, Ambassador Dr. Saud Al-Sati.

Saudi Arabia and Iraq continue to strengthen bilateral cooperation through diplomatic, economic, and regional coordination channels, in alignment with shared interests and broader Arab unity.
