King Salman Approves Launch of 5th National Campaign for Charitable Work via Ehsan Platform

Riyadh, March 7, 2025 – Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has approved the launch of the 5th National Campaign for Charitable Work, which commenced on Friday, March 7, through the National Platform for Charitable Work (Ehsan). The campaign will continue throughout Ramadan, providing an opportunity for citizens and residents to contribute to charitable causes and strengthen community solidarity during the holy month.
The initiative underscores the ongoing commitment of King Salman and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to supporting philanthropic efforts and maximizing the impact of charitable giving.
Minister of Commerce Majid Al-Kassabi, Chairman of the Ehsan Platform’s Supervisory Committee, expressed gratitude to the Saudi leadership for its unwavering support of the platform since its establishment in 2021 by Royal Decree. He highlighted the remarkable success of previous campaigns, which collectively raised over SAR 9 billion, benefiting more than 4.8 million individuals.
The 2024 campaign alone witnessed donations surpassing SAR 1.8 billion, processed through 15 million transactions. Previous editions recorded:
SAR 800 million (1st campaign)
Over SAR 750 million (2nd campaign)
More than SAR 760 million (3rd campaign)
The Ehsan platform continues to digitally empower the charity sector, ensuring secure and transparent transactions. Contributions can be made through the Ehsan app, the official website (Ehsan.sa), or by calling the unified number 8001247000.
The Ehsan platform was launched by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and is supervised by a committee of 13 government agencies. It serves as a secure and efficient digital hub for charitable giving, further solidifying Saudi Arabia’s global leadership in philanthropy and sustainable development.
As the campaign unfolds, donations will be directed toward various charitable and development initiatives, including contributions to the Ehsan Endowment Fund, further promoting long-term community welfare and impactful social contributions.
