King Fahd International Airport Sees Record-Breaking Air Traffic in 2024
DAMMAM, Dec. 16 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Dammam Airports Company has reported a significant rise in air traffic at King Fahd International Airport during the second half of 2024, achieving new records in passenger numbers and flight operations.
From January to mid-December 2024, the airport handled 12 million passengers, reflecting a 15% increase compared to the same period in 2023. Flight operations also saw growth, with over 99,000 flights recorded during the period, a 5% rise year-on-year.
The airport achieved a milestone for daily passenger traffic, exceeding 50,000 passengers in a single day. On June 13, 2024, it recorded its highest daily air traffic volume, with 374 flights operated.
These figures underscore the airport’s growing importance as a regional aviation hub, driven by enhanced services and infrastructure improvements.
