Riyadh, July 8 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – King Abdulaziz International Airport recorded its highest-ever passenger traffic for the first half of a year, welcoming a total of 25.5 million travelers in the first six months of 2025 — a 6.8% increase compared to the same period last year.

The airport also reported significant growth in flight operations, with the number of flights exceeding 150,000, reflecting a 6.3% year-on-year rise. In addition, 29.4 million pieces of luggage were handled, marking an 11.9% increase and highlighting strong travel demand.

During the same period, the airport distributed 4.8 million bottles of Zamzam water to passengers. Its busiest operational day was recorded on April 5, when it served 178,000 travelers — an indicator of its expanding capacity to accommodate peak-season volumes.

These figures underscore King Abdulaziz International Airport’s continued development as one of the region’s leading air hubs and reflect ongoing efforts to provide a smooth and comfortable travel experience that meets the needs of a growing number of passengers.
