Israel Agrees to Ceasefire with Iran Under US-Brokered Terms, Official Says

Riyadh, June 24 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Israel agreed to a ceasefire deal with Iran on the condition that Tehran halt its attacks inside Israeli territory, a senior White House official told CNN on Monday. The official said Iran accepted those terms.

According to the source, U.S. President Donald Trump was in direct contact with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu throughout the negotiations. Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State and National Security Adviser Marco Rubio, and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff led the talks with Iranian representatives through both direct and indirect channels.

The White House maintains that the ceasefire agreement was made possible by U.S. strikes on three of Iran’s nuclear facilities on Saturday.

Trump also held a direct call with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, during which he thanked the Qatari leader for helping mediate the ceasefire agreement, the official added.

Within the last half hour, Trump returned to the West Wing, where a Marine is standing post. He had earlier returned to the residence shortly after 6 p.m., and an official said he is making calls. No further public appearances are expected Monday.
