Jeddah, April 2 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The 2025 edition of the Islamic Arts Biennale, organized by the Diriyah Biennale Foundation under the theme "And All That Is In Between," is currently underway at the Western Hajj Terminal in Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz International Airport. The event runs until May 25 and continues to attract visitors and scholars of Islamic art from across the globe.
A central feature of this year’s Biennale is the AlMunawwarah section, which presents an artistic and spiritual exploration of Madinah’s cultural legacy. Designed with elements inspired by the architecture of the Prophet’s Mosque, the installation offers visitors a serene experience that blends heritage with contemporary expression.

Among the key highlights are intricately gilded green textiles, embroidered with golden threads that reflect the architectural majesty and spiritual significance of the Prophet’s Mosque. These textiles, which have been used for over 1,200 years, not only serve as ceremonial coverings but also represent centuries of reverence and appreciation from scholars, rulers, and religious figures.
The AlMunawwarah section invites visitors to engage with the historical and artistic importance of these artifacts, providing a cultural and contemplative journey that connects the spiritual depth of Islamic tradition with modern creative interpretation.
The Islamic Arts Biennale is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader effort to promote cultural dialogue and showcase the richness of Islamic artistic expression to both regional and international audiences.
