PARIS, May 9 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi is scheduled to visit Saudi Arabia and Qatar on Saturday and will attend the Iran-Arab World Dialogue summit in Doha, a spokesperson for the Iranian foreign ministry said on Friday.
The visit comes ahead of a possible fourth round of indirect nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States, expected to take place over the weekend in Muscat, the capital of Oman.
U.S. President Donald Trump is also expected to visit Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates next week as part of a regional tour.
Trump previously withdrew the United States from the 2015 nuclear agreement between Tehran and world powers. He has repeatedly stated that failure to reach a new agreement could lead to escalatory measures, including potential military action.
No further details were provided by Iranian officials regarding the expected meetings during Araqchi’s regional visit.
