IOC Appoints Saudi Sports Chief Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki to Olympic Refuge Foundation Board

Lausanne, Switzerland, June 2, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Dr. Thomas Bach has approved the new composition of the Olympic Refuge Foundation (ORF) board of directors, naming Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal, President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee (SOPC), as a member.

The announcement was made during the ORF board meeting held on Monday in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Prince Abdulaziz’s appointment reflects the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing commitment to advancing humanitarian principles and responding to global refugee crises. Saudi Arabia is recognized as one of the world’s leading donor countries in the humanitarian and development sectors.
