Taif, April 12, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The National Research and Development Center for Sustainable Agriculture (Estidamah) has launched a new initiative to advance agricultural sustainability, distributing 15,000 tissue-cultured seedlings during the Rose and Aromatic Plants Global Forum in Taif.
The initiative aims to boost local agricultural production and support the Kingdom’s national objective of cultivating two billion roses by 2026. It leverages advanced agricultural techniques to improve efficiency in water use and enhance overall product quality.
Estidamah’s efforts align with Saudi Arabia’s broader strategy to promote sustainable farming practices and plant diversity. In 2024 alone, the center distributed over 70,000 seedlings and continues to offer farmers technical and advisory support. Through dedicated workshops on Taif rose cultivation, Estidamah is equipping local growers with the knowledge and tools to adopt environmentally responsible practices and ensure long-term agricultural resilience.
