Dubai, April 29, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Eric Trump, son of U.S. President Donald J. Trump and executive vice president of the Trump Organization, emphasized the Gulf region’s reliance on a strong United States for security and economic prosperity during an interview with Reuters on Tuesday in Dubai.

Speaking in his capacity as a business executive at the launch of a new Trump-branded tower, Eric Trump stated, “This whole region is dependent on a strong America. And I hear that time and time again. I hear that from the biggest leaders in the Gulf.” He added, “Dubai, like the entire world, thrives on a healthy, safe world, and that's what President Trump wants.”

Responding to questions on the impact of the U.S. administration’s tariff policies, Trump noted that the UAE, with its service-based, capital-driven economy, remains largely insulated from such pressures. “They can largely avoid that and I think that's good for so much of the Gulf,” he said.

The 80-story Trump tower in Dubai, developed in partnership with luxury real estate firm Dar Global, will include a luxury hotel, high-end residential units, two penthouses, and the world’s highest outdoor swimming pool. Buyers will also be able to purchase units using bitcoin, reflecting the Trump Organization’s increasing interest in cryptocurrency integration.

The project’s launch comes shortly before President Donald Trump’s upcoming visit to the Gulf, which will include stops in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. As reported by Reuters last week, the visit could coincide with the announcement of a major arms package for Saudi Arabia worth more than $100 billion.

Eric Trump confirmed that he will not accompany the presidential delegation, stating, “I won’t be part of it, no... I keep total separation. I want nothing to do with politics or policy.” He also noted that President Trump “loves the region” and “has a lot of friends over here.”

The Trump Organization continues to expand internationally, with ongoing developments in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Oman. Dar Global CEO Ziad El Chaar confirmed that the Dubai tower is expected to reach a gross development value of $1 billion and be completed between 2030 and 2031.

Future developments include planned Trump towers in Riyadh and Jeddah, real estate projects in Oman and Abu Dhabi, and, according to a source, a Trump International Golf Course and Trump Villas in Qatar, to be developed in partnership with Qatari Diar.

Eric Trump described the convergence of real estate and cryptocurrency as “very exciting,” adding, “You’re seeing two worlds that I love so much finally blend together.”

The Trump Organization previously announced that President Trump had transferred operational control of the company to his children, replicating the arrangement made during his earlier term in office.
