Egypt and Qatar Reaffirm Unified Mediation Efforts to End Gaza Crisis and Secure Ceasefire

Riyadh, May 7, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Arab Republic of Egypt and the State of Qatar have reaffirmed that their joint mediation efforts in the Gaza Strip remain ongoing and aligned under a unified vision aimed at ending the humanitarian crisis and establishing the conditions necessary for a comprehensive ceasefire.

In a joint statement, both countries emphasized that attempts to undermine their cooperation—through doubt, distortion, or media escalation—will not deter their determination to end the war and address the resulting humanitarian catastrophe.

The two governments reiterated that they remain focused on the interests of the Palestinian people and will not be drawn into internal dynamics or secondary agendas that fall outside the scope of their mediation objectives.

They further confirmed that coordination with the United States continues in pursuit of an agreement that would bring the humanitarian suffering to an end and ensure the protection of civilians.
