Dust-Stirring Winds and Potential Rainfall Expected Across Parts of the Kingdom

Riyadh, April 16, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) has issued a weather forecast indicating the occurrence of dust-stirring winds today in several regions of the Kingdom, including Riyadh, Qassim, Madinah, Makkah, Al-Baha, Aseer, and the Eastern Region.
The forecast further notes the potential for rain showers in parts of the southwestern highlands, with local variations in intensity depending on terrain and atmospheric conditions.
Marine conditions over the Red Sea will see northwesterly to northerly winds ranging between 20 to 40 km/h. Wave heights are expected to reach one to two meters, with the sea described as relatively calm.
In the Arabian Gulf, northerly to northwesterly winds are expected at similar speeds of 20 to 40 km/h, with wave heights also ranging from one to two meters and generally calm sea conditions.
The NCM advises residents and maritime operators in affected areas to remain cautious, particularly in regions experiencing reduced visibility due to dust or during rainfall events.
