DAZN Expands Its Global Football Coverage With Saudi Pro League Deal

DAZN, the global sports streaming platform, has announced a new deal to broadcast the Saudi Pro League (SPL) in six countries across Europe and North America. The agreement, which runs until the end of the 2024-25 season, will give DAZN subscribers access to live and on-demand coverage of all SPL matches, as well as highlights, clips, and original content.

The SPL is the top tier of professional football in Saudi Arabia, featuring 16 clubs competing for the league title and qualification for continental competitions. The league has attracted some of the world's best players and coaches in recent years.

DAZN will stream the SPL in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Belgium and Canada, expanding its portfolio of football rights in these markets. DAZN already offers a wide range of football content to its customers, including the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, Premier League, La Liga, Seria A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1.

James Rushton, co-CEO of DAZN Group, said: "We are thrilled to partner with the Saudi Pro League and bring more world-class football to our fans in these countries. The SPL is an exciting and competitive league that showcases some of the best talent in the region and beyond. We look forward to delivering an innovative and engaging viewing experience for our subscribers and growing the fanbase of the SPL around the world".

Yasser Almisehal, chairman of the Saudi Pro League, said: "This is a significant moment for the SPL as we expand our global reach and partner with one of the leading sports streaming platforms in the world. We believe that DAZN will be a great partner for us to showcase the quality and passion of Saudi football to a new audience and we are delighted to collaborate with them on this journey".

The new SPL season kicks off an August 12 with a clash between defending champions Al Hilal and newly promoted Al Ain. DAZN subscribers can watch all the action live and on-demand on their smart TVs, smartphones, tables, computers and gaming consoles.
