ABU DHABI: The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, received the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, on Saturday at the start of his official visit to the UAE.
The two leaders exchanged cordial greetings and discussed the historical ties between the two countries and their people. They also praised the level of joint strategic cooperation between the UAE and India across multiple vital sectors.
Sheikh Khaled expressed his happiness to welcome Modi and his delegation and affirm the UAE's keenness to enhance the bilateral relations and partnership with India in various fields of mutual interest.
Modi thanked Sheikh Khaled for his warm hospitality and express his appreciation for the UAE's support and solidarity with India during the COVID-19 pandemic. He also highlighted the importance of the UAE as a strategic partner and a major investor in India.
Modi's visit to the UAE is part of his three-nation tour that also includes Bahrain and Qatar.
