Riyadh, June 13 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Aroya Cruises, the Kingdom’s first Arab cruise line and a wholly owned subsidiary of Cruise Saudi, announced that its flagship vessel Aroya has departed for the Mediterranean Sea ahead of its inaugural season in the region, which will begin on June 28, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The ship is scheduled to arrive at Galataport in Istanbul on June 20, where it will be homeported for the duration of the summer season. The route to Istanbul includes planned stops at the Turkish ports of Kaş and Bodrum.
Aroya’s Mediterranean cruise program will run from late June through mid-September and offer six- to seven-night itineraries across top Eastern Mediterranean destinations. Ports of call will include Kaş, Bodrum, and Marmaris in Türkiye; Athens, Mykonos, Rhodes, and Souda Bay in Greece; and Alexandria in Egypt.
The cruises aim to deliver a culturally rich experience, combining regional exploration with services and entertainment inspired by Arab heritage and hospitality.
The Mediterranean deployment follows Aroya’s successful Red Sea debut in December 2024, during which the ship hosted more than 70,000 guests on voyages that included Egypt, Jordan, and Cruise Saudi’s private destination, Jabal Al-Sabayya Island’s Saba Beach.
Aroya Cruises is a key part of Saudi Arabia’s broader tourism and lifestyle strategy under Vision 2030, led by the Public Investment Fund (PIF).
