AlUla to Host First-Ever Instagram Creators Summit in the MENA Region

AlUla, April 18, 2024 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – In a regional first, AlUla is set to host the inaugural Instagram Creators Summit for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), taking place from April 20 to 22. The summit is organized by Meta, in partnership with the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) and in collaboration with the Saudi Tourism Authority and Riyadh Air.
Bringing together leading content creators from across the globe, the summit will feature an intensive three-day program including interactive panel discussions, keynote speeches, and strategic dialogues on the future of content creation. Topics will span social media trends, artificial intelligence, digital storytelling, and the evolution of the global creator economy.
The participating creators collectively represent a reach of over 231 million followers worldwide, underscoring the growing significance of influencer marketing in the global tourism and cultural sectors.
Workshops and technical sessions will delve into platform tools, product innovations, and best practices for content optimization. Attendees will also have the opportunity to directly engage with Meta’s product managers, gaining insights into the latest platform developments and business opportunities.
A key highlight of the event will be the exploration of AlUla’s unique cultural identity, framed through discussions on preserving heritage in the age of digital transformation. AlUla, with its over 200,000 years of human history and 7,000 years of continuous civilizations, provides an immersive and authentic backdrop for such dialogue.
Participants will visit iconic sites including Hegra, Saudi Arabia’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as AlUla Old Town and Madrasat Addeera in the vibrant AlJadidah Arts District, where tradition and creativity intersect.
