Nashville, June 27, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Al-Hilal booked their place in the Round of 16 of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 after defeating Mexico’s Pachuca 2–0 on Friday at Geodis Park Stadium in Nashville, United States.

Captain Salem Al-Dawsari opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, giving the Saudi side an early lead. Brazilian forward Marcos Leonardo sealed the victory with a second goal deep into stoppage time in the 90+4th minute.

The match marked the third and final round of the group stage, with Al-Hilal finishing on top of their group to secure progression to the knockout stage.

Al-Hilal will face England’s Manchester City next Tuesday in the Round of 16.

The 2025 edition of the FIFA Club World Cup is being held across several cities in the United States, featuring an expanded format and participation from 32 clubs representing all confederations.
