ACWA Power Signs Green Hydrogen, Renewable Energy Export Agreements with European Partners

Riyadh, July 21 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Arabia’s ACWA Power signed a series of agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) on Sunday with several international partners to establish a green hydrogen and renewable energy export value chain between the Kingdom and Europe.
The signings took place in Riyadh during the Renewable Energy and Green Hydrogen Export Workshop, organized by ACWA Power under the supervision of the Ministry of Energy. The event was attended by senior government officials from Saudi Arabia, Greece, France, and Germany, along with executives from global energy companies and key Saudi institutions.
The agreements form part of Saudi Arabia’s strategy to enhance global logistics connectivity and reinforce its leadership role in the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC), leveraging the Kingdom’s strategic location as a hub connecting East and West.
Among the announcements was a joint development agreement to collaborate on the first phase of the Yanbu Green Hydrogen Hub, scheduled to commence commercial operations by 2030.
The workshop highlighted Saudi Arabia’s progress in diversifying its energy mix and promoting regional and international clean energy integration. It also reaffirmed the Kingdom’s position as a reliable global energy supplier and a central player in advancing green energy solutions across economic corridors.
